Add support for waiting until job reaches running state in streaming job

When using streaming mode, the deployment can be successful but the pipeline could actually fail shorty after. By adding a flag to wait for the job to at least get in running state we could make the CI/CD deployment wait and error if the deployment was not successful. To avoid waiting infinitely, set some defaults

        timeout_sec=10 * 60,  # 10 minutes in seconds
        poll_interval_sec=60,

This way we only wait a max of 10 minutes, and only pool every minutes to check for pipeline state.

I havent made the timeout seconds and poll interval configurable yet until I get feedback from devs if this a good thing to do here at all or not.

I included unittest tests but also did a local test and pipeline eventually reaches done state Screen Shot 2022-01-26 at 9 13 39 PM

The beginning of the AI rewrite

The script has been rewritten, implementing the most key points from the article "Minion AI documentation". Behavior should now actually be checked every 250ms. Minions are now able to hold a target outside of their attack radius, but within detection radius. Especially noticeable with melee minions.

Source Hubspot: getting form_submission for all forms

What

At its current state form_submissions are only fetched for forms which were updated/modified after start_date however we would need the new submissions for older ones as well.

How

By adding a flag to the read method of Stream the filtering can be disabled. By default it's still enabled.

🚨 User Impact 🚨

Are there any breaking changes? What is the end result perceived by the user? If yes, please merge this PR with the 🚨🚨 emoji so changelog authors can further highlight this if needed.

Parallel container startup with deferred values

Hi dig maintainers,

My organization made an internal tool that has many different startup tasks that all produce a unique Go type. Before dig/fx, some tasks wrote to a shared struct, some tasks read from it, and some did both. This meant having to carefully order functions, keeping in mind these implicit dependencies hidden in func bodies. I'm busy removing this shared struct and rewriting each task as a dig/fx provider and letting dig order things automatically. It's wonderful! Can't thank you enough.

However—and sorry for frontloading this so much—our existing code, poor quality as it is, does perform many slow tasks in parallel. Forcing these to happen in serial would push our execution time over our execution frequency. But dependency injection with dig is a perfect match with our codebase, so I would really like to work something out.

I don't believe the core of dig is incompatible with parallel execution. To prove this to myself, as a first pass I made paramList use an Errgroup to call all its children and wait for them to finish, and I made the store maps sync.Map. Where two goroutines reached the same constructorNode, I put a mutex to protect the called field. It worked but felt too simplistic and hard to control.

The approach I settled on lets all dig code run in one goroutine, and user-provided constructors can either run in the same goroutine (default) or in pooled/ephemeral goroutines. This keeps mutexes out of dig's data structures and lets users decide how much concurrency they want.

I tried this several ways, but this pull request is the cleanest way I found. It creates a new deferred type params and constructorNodes return. A deferred can be observed and resolved like a very simple Promise. Since params and constructors pass values indirectly via a Scope, deferred doesn't need much state.

I would very much like to get concurrent initialization into dig by any means; it doesn't have to be this pull request. I'm willing to any changes you deem necessary; let's work together!

general: Fix issue causing log threads to hang indefinitely

The function printIfNotPrinted() defined for DistinctLogger unlocked the mutex within the logger only after the print() function ran. If print panics, the mutex would stay locked and future attempts to read or write from the logger mutex would cause the goroutine to hang indefinitely.

Deferred the unlocking of the mutex to prevent this. Also, put l.m[key] before the print() call since this will prevent another bug where the same warning potentially gets logged multiple times if the print() call panics.

Multi task head

Motivation

I've read the #628 issue and implemented a proposal for MultiTaskClsHead in order to mix multiple classification head to create a multi task classification tool.

Modification

Please briefly describe what modification is made in this PR.

  • Created a unit test for MultiTaskClsHead
  • the implementation of MultiTaskClsHead

NB : Current implementation is made to be generic and the different head can output different shapes (it will give the ability to mix head from mmcls with heads from mmpose or other projects). The drawback of this is that the output of the simple_test method cannot be a tensor, i choose to deactivate the post_process=False mode for the simple_test method. Any suggestion would be welcome

BC-breaking (Optional)

No

Use cases (Optional)

The basic use case here it to classify multiple classes using the same neural network. In order to make it work, it is needed to implement a compatible dataset.

I have made the following :

  • Starting from the ImageNet dataset
  • in load_annotations, info['gt_label'] is a tuple containing one gt_label per head
  • evaluate method need to be reworked

Checklist

Before PR:

  • Pre-commit or other linting tools are used to fix the potential lint issues.
  • Bug fixes are fully covered by unit tests, the case that causes the bug should be added in the unit tests.
  • The modification is covered by complete unit tests. If not, please add more unit test to ensure the correctness.
  • The documentation has been modified accordingly, like docstring or example tutorials.

After PR:

  • If the modification has potential influence on downstream or other related projects, this PR should be tested with those projects, like MMDet or MMSeg.

use Host from http.Request

Details

Currently we use localhost in the url to point to envoy, and add host header to the request so that envoy would route to the appropriate cluster.

Since the url always has localhost, our external segment is rather confusing. by using Host from http.Request the external segment should properly distinguish for different external services.

ycql: add RPC metadata to cql protocol

In this phab, we modify the CQL protocol with the metadata flag. If the flag is set, then the first 8 bytes of the request body are reserved for RPC-related metadata. Currently, the request will have 2 bytes set to the RPC queue limit, which is used for load-shedding on the server. Also, the response will have 2 bytes set to the RPC queue position of the request, which is used for adaptive throttling on the client.
