Failure to open database on some phones, cordova-sqlite-storage version 6.0.0

Hello,

We ran into the issue: https://github.com/storesafe/cordova-sqlite-storage/issues/954 a couple of months ago, but installing version 6.0.0 of this plugin seemed to fix that issue.

However, the same thing has started happening on the few devices it was happening prior to upgrading to version 6.0.0. I am not sure if there has been an Android 11 update recently that might have caused this.

"OPEN database: _ionicstorage FAILED, aborting any pending transactions"

Cordova: 10 Android: 11 Ionic Storage: 2.3.1 Cordova SQLite Storage: 6.0.0

@KishanDasani I don't use ionic, but it seems irrelevant here. I'm talking about when opening the database, like this: database = window.sqlitePlugin.openDatabase({ name: db_name, location: 'default', androidDatabaseProvider: 'system' }, callback, function (err) { console.log(JSON.stringify(err)); });

Thank you, this solved to me. cordova-android 9 + ionic + "cordova-sqlite-storage": "3.4.0",

docs: add fragment to native-components-android.md

As a Javascript / React-Native developer I had a hard time figuring out how to integrate a custom native SDK with React Native using Android Fragments. Please correct anything that you wish. This information took me 3 days to figure out, especially the part with setupLayout and manuallyLayoutChildren so I wish an example like this was available in the official documentation. And I think I am not alone. I was expecting the code without setupLayout and manuallyLayoutChildren to work but i had no luck. If somebody has any better solution in your team, or any explanation, it would also be really nice to state in the documentation. Thank you for React Native, I love it.

Create Fragment improvement

It would be more clear if we add more example to the new "Create Fragment" section.

There is no example of CustomView customView;, what is it? A simple class that extends View? It would be more clear if we have an example for it as well...

I have ran into a problem were the View stay on the very back of the Views hierarchy, I have more details here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/69771856/android-fragment-not-displayed-in-react-native-app

Docs update: Load Android Activity (Fragment) inside RN Native Component

Description

I have a RN Native Component and I would like to load the Android Activity inside of it.

From the RN Docs I see that there is a way to load the RN App inside an Android Native App, I need the other way around and looks likes there are a bunch of other people looking for this, would be nice to update the docs with such info.

I know that is not possible to load the Activity inside the RN Native Component but do you know any workaround? Maybe using an Android Fragment? Convert the Activity code into a Fragment? Thoughts?

React Native version:

0.64

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Create a RN Native Component
  2. Try to load an Native Android Activity inside the new RN Native Component.

Expected Results

The Activity is initialized and displayed inside the Native Component or inside a RN View.

You will need to rewrite the code in a Native Component and build the same UI using RN components.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid this (cry mode on) lol but, how the Mandalorian would say: This is the way!

What does the activity you want to implement do in general?

It consumes a 3rd party SDK which based on a API response builds an UI.

Yep, that's the direction I'm taking however how can developers proceed? Do we convert the Activity to Fragment? What are things that one should keep an eye on during the process? Such information is not available in the docs, and per what I've seen there is a bunch of people looking for this.

You should look at the docs, how Native Components are built in android and iOS. Use that instead of an Activity.

Hey, yep, I've a RN Native Component in place, it is working fine. What I need is to get the Android Native Code that exists in one Activity and make it work in the RN Native Component.

There is no information in th docs about it. Ther ei the other way around: getting RN to run inside an existing Android Native App.
